Chicks now hatch on farm thanks to NestBorn
A key innovation during the Agridagen in Weelde: Belgabroed, Vervaeke-Belavi, and van Hulst were the first licence holders to introduce NestBorn to the world. NestBorn stands for improved animal welfare, quicker access to food, water and light, and a healthier chick, which makes the use of antibiotics more efficient. Just as important: NestBorn does not require the poultry farmer to make investments in a new infrastructure. “Currently tests are performed at 35 companies in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany”, according to Leo Suls of Vervaeke-Belavi.
